Where are you located?

We are located at the corner of Libbie and West Broad Street. 3 Store behind Priscilla’s Lingerie on Spencer Road. Call us at 804-282-6060 if you can’t find us.

What are your hours?

You can reach a locksmith from 6am-10pm 7 days a week at 804-282-6060.

Our office showroom is open M-F 8am-5pm.

I just moved into a new house, what should I do?

At the very least you should immediately have all your doors rekeyed because you don’t know who was given keys in the past by the former owner. Every place that a key can go in should be rekeyed to fit a new key. Also, get a spare key cut for emergencies.

I’m locked out of my car, can you help?

Yes, American Lock & Key has all the necessary tools and training to get you into your car safely. Be careful not to get lured by the promise of $15 service call. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Are you a licensed locksmith in Virginia?

Yes, American Lock & Key is licensed with the Department of Criminal Justice. DCJS # is 11-3052.

Can you make car keys?

Yes! We can make you a car key, even if you have zero working car keys. If you need spare keys, we can make extra car keys, even high security chip keys, laser keys, transponder keys, remotes, and key FOBS.

I just had the best experience here. I called yesterday about having a key fob to our van repaired as well ad having a second key made and was provided a quote over the phone. I was also advised I could walk In without an appointment. I went today and was in and out in no time! I left with a replacement key fob and a second fob and it did not take long at all!
